Route: Longshan Temple MRT Station (Exit 3) → Bopiliao Historical Block → Herb Alley → Longshan Temple → Longshan Cultural and Creative Base → Dali Street → SW CAKE → Sugar Refinery Cultural Park → Long Du Shaved Ice Shop
This foreign-language demonstration tour takes old shops and historic temples in Mengjia as its main theme, connecting some of the district’s most iconic cultural landmarks.
Starting from Bopiliao Historical Block, where rows of red-brick shophouses evoke the atmosphere of Taipei’s earliest days, participants will stroll through Herb Alley to experience the unique local traditions of herbal medicine and healing.
The journey continues to Longshan Temple, where the exquisite architecture reflects a deep blend of religion, art, and faith. Next, at the Longshan Cultural and Creative Base, visitors will witness how old spaces are being transformed into new hubs of creativity.
As the tour moves through Dali Street’s clothing market and the time-honored SW CAKE, it reveals the charm of traditional industries and local flavors. The route then leads to the Sugar Refinery Cultural Park, once a sugar factory, now revitalized to share the story of Mengjia’s industrial heritage.
The journey concludes at Long Du Ice Shop, where participants can enjoy a refreshing local dessert — the perfect sweet ending to this cultural exploration.
