Severe bleeding can turn deadly within minutes — knowing how to control it is one of the most vital emergency care skills. The Emergency Wound Packing Practice Workshop provides step-by-step instruction and simulation-based training for mastering the fundamentals of wound packing in trauma scenarios.
Participants will first learn the principles of wound packing in emergency care, including how to assess wound depth, choose appropriate materials, and pack efficiently to control hemorrhage while minimizing tissue damage.
The session will then move into guided hands-on practice, using realistic simulators such as the wound packing trainer and Hemorrhage control arm trainer. These models accurately replicate tissue resistance, wound depth, and bleeding control challenges, providing an authentic training experience for real-life emergencies.
In addition, participants will explore comprehensive wound care principles through the wound management simulator — ideal for reinforcing skills in cleaning, dressing, and post-packing monitoring.
By the end of this workshop, you will:
Understand the anatomy and physiology of bleeding control
Master the steps of effective wound packing under pressure
Gain confidence managing traumatic injuries safely and efficiently
Know what tools and simulators best support your continuous learning
This is not just a demonstration — it’s a fully immersive learning experience that bridges the gap between classroom theory and emergency response reality.
