蜡染（Batik），不只是布上的圖案，更是一種文化與時間的語言。
來自馬來西亞的蠟染設計師 Masrina Abdullah，是一位從建築師轉為設計師的創作者。她以結構與光影為靈感，創造出獨特的「雙層蠟染技法（Double Layer Technique）」—讓傳統工藝綻放出現代設計的層次之美。
她的作品曾榮獲 Piala Seri Endon Award 與 UNESCO-AHPADA Seal of Excellence，並多次登上國際舞台（米蘭時裝週、巴塞隆納設計合作）。這場講座將帶領大家從傳統蠟染的起源、設計理念，到如何結合時尚與永續思維，重新定義「馬來西亞蠟染」的現代語彙。
This talk explores the transformation of Malaysian batik from its cultural origins to contemporary design. Through her architectural lens, Masrina Abdullah reveals how heritage, fashion, and sustainability intertwine to redefine batik for the modern world.

Masrina Abdullah
Architect turned Batik Artist｜Cultural Innovator｜Award-winning Designer
Masrina Abdullah畢業於美國內布拉斯加大學建築系。1990年發表蠟染「雙層技法」，並共同創立 Ilham Cipta Handicraft (1996–2010)。榮獲首屆 Piala Seri Endon Award (2003)、UNESCO-AHPADA Seal of Excellence (2006)，並於國際設計舞台展出（Milan Fashion Week、Barcelona Design）。
As founder of Masterpiece by Masrina Abdullah and Masrina Abdullah Empire Ventures, she continues to bridge tradition and innovation through batik, expanding Malaysian artistry to the world.
