《默島進行曲》演出呼應波德萊爾「The Artist,Man of the World」的理念，透過舞蹈回應當代社會的變遷與精神。作品聚焦於台灣在地身體文化的再發掘，取材自民俗慶典、陣頭與傳統技藝，轉化為具當代意義的舞蹈語彙。那些曾未被書寫的「跤步」、「展舞步」，如今被重新詮釋為屬於這個世代的身體傳統。
《樂為臺灣人：默島進行曲》不僅保存與創新文化，特別合作「蘇俊穎掌中木偶劇團」、「草屯大眾女子樂團」、「台北辰揚會」等團隊 ，融入舞蹈之中，形成多層次的文化對話。更藉由舞者的身體實踐，回應關於自由、記憶與尊嚴的核心議題。舞蹈在此成為抵抗與表達的語言，引導觀眾重新思考身體與歷史、個人與集體的關係。這是一場從土地出發的舞蹈行動，也是一場關於現代性與人性尊嚴的藝術實踐。
The Silent Island Movement echoes Charles Baudelaire’s concept of “The Artist, Man of the World,” responding through dance to contemporary societal changes and collective consciousness. The work centers on rediscovering Taiwan’s embodied cultural practices, drawing from traditional rituals, folk performance troupes, and heritage crafts, and transforming these elements into a dance vocabulary with contemporary relevance. Movements such as “kha-pōo” are now reimagined as an embodied tradition of our time.
The piece not only preserves and innovates cultural expressions but also features special collaborations with groups including “Su Jin-Yin Puppet Show Troupe, Nantou Dazhong Band, and Taipei Chenyang Club.” These collaborations are integrated into the choreography to create a multi-layered cultural dialogue.
Through the embodied practices of the dancers, the work engages with core issues of freedom, memory, and dignity. Dance here becomes a language of resistance and expression, guiding the audience to reflect on the relationship between body and history, between individual and collective experience. This is a dance rooted in the land—an artistic practice that speaks to modernity and the dignity of humanity.

「何曉玫MeimageDance」作品多元、特異，閃耀鮮明女性形象。除了以藝術總監何曉玫的創作為核心，2011年建立「鈕扣 New Choreographer」計畫，邀請旅外舞者「回家」交流國際經驗長達十年。團隊亦致力推動國際網絡，2023年起進行「Dance Now Asia」，探尋亞洲文化的身體創作，為舞蹈生態貢獻心力。
「蘇俊穎掌中木偶劇團」，曾獲教育部藝術菁英計畫個人優選與團體金牌獎，並以布袋戲偶參與金曲獎MV《拆》。因熱愛廟宇文化與布袋戲，融合繪畫與語言模仿專長，從戲偶造型到編導皆一手包辦，擅長一人分飾多角，展現五音分明表演特色。
「草屯大眾女子樂團」是臺灣具代表性的女性樂團之一，來自南投草屯，擁有近五十年歷史。以專業演奏與端莊整齊的形象廣受肯定，樂團在傳統基礎上融入現代元素，結合流行音樂、舞蹈與視覺效果，使演出更具觀賞性，連結傳統與當代，讓古典樂韻持續發光。
「台北辰揚會」，是一群默默為神明付出的團隊。因信仰而結合在一起，也因信仰讓我們有了共同的目標「善」。默默付出「行善」、守護文化「陣頭」這是辰揚的宗旨。

MeimageDance
Founded in 2010 under Artistic Director Ho Hsiao-Mei, creates diverse and distinctive works with a strong female perspective. Since 2011, the “New Choreographer” program has invited overseas Taiwanese artists to return home, fostering international exchange. In 2023, the company launched “Dance Now Asia,” linking Asian dance communities and exploring body-based cultural expressions.
Su Jin-Yin Puppet Show Troupe
Awarded by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education Arts Elite Program and featured in the Golden Melody Award MV “Chai,” Su combines temple culture, visual arts, and puppet show. He independently designs puppets, directs performances, and often performs multiple characters, showcasing precise vocal expression and dynamic stage presence.
Nantou Dazhong Band
A leading all-female ensemble with nearly fifty years of history, is renowned for professional musicianship. The band blends traditional music with modern elements, popular music, dance, and visual effects, connecting tradition with contemporary life.
Taipei Chenyang Club
Devoted to serving deities and preserving the “zhentou” tradition, the group brings Taiwan’s folk beliefs to life with a powerful and immersive presence.
