《回聲室》多人沉浸式展演計畫，探索數位時代的資訊隔閡與社會分裂。核心概念源自Cass Sunstein的「回聲室理論」，探討社群媒體如何通過同質化資訊強化群體觀點，導致多元對話的缺失。當今社交媒體演算法加劇了回聲室效應，使個體與群體困於封閉的資訊泡泡中，難以突破既定立場。
作品運用多聲道聲場、雷射光學技術、AI聲音合成等，創造動態互動的音光體驗。觀眾的移動直接影響光與聲音結構，形成即時變化的感官體驗，感知並挑戰數位環境中的資訊過濾與極端化現象，重新理解群體與自我之間的界限。
《回聲室》期望引發觀眾對資訊孤立與極端化的反思，喚醒跨越同溫層的渴望，並探索如何打破資訊壁壘、重建對話空間。這是一場突破被動接收數位信息的互動體驗，邀請觀眾重新思考並重塑當前資訊流動的結構與影響。
Echo Chamber is an immersive collective showcase and performance project exploring information gaps and social divisions in the digital age. Drawing from Cass Sunstein’s theory of echo chambers, the work examines how social media reinforces collective perspectives through homogenized information, leading to a lack of diverse dialogue. This echo chamber effect is further intensified by contemporary algorithms, which trap individuals and groups within closed information bubbles, making it difficult to move beyond fixed viewpoints.
A dynamic and interactive audio-visual experience is achieved through the integration of multi-channel sound fields, optics and laser systems, and AI-generated sound synthesis. The audience’s movement directly shapes the composition of light and sound, creating a continuously evolving sensory environment. The work both explores and challenges the mechanisms of information filtering and polarization in digital spaces, reimagining the boundaries between community and self.
By probing how to dismantle information barriers and rebuild spaces for dialogue, Echo Chamber seeks to provoke reflection on data isolation and polarization, and to awaken a desire to step beyond informational confines. This interactive experience transcends the passive consumption of digital content, inviting audiences to rethink and reshape the structure and influence of today’s information flows.
